The short version
Yearth has no accounts. Your stats and guesses live in your own browser and are never sent to us. Ads only load if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.
What is stored in your browser
Yearth uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember:
- your statistics: games played, wins, streaks and how many guesses your wins took;
- today's guesses, so a reload doesn't lose your game;
- your ad choice (accepted or declined);
- that you have dismissed the how-to-play note.
This stays on your device. Clearing your browser's site data for Yearth removes all of it.
Analytics
Yearth does not currently run analytics or tracking scripts of its own. Whoever hosts the site may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and the pages requested) for security and operation.
Advertising
Yearth is meant to be supported by ads. No ad script loads until you choose Accept on the banner. If you choose Decline, no ad network code runs. You can change your choice at any time with the Ad choices link at the bottom of the page.
If you accept, the ad network may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads, including personalised ads; its own privacy policy governs that processing.
Current status: in this demo the ad spaces show placeholders and no ad network is connected.
Feedback reports
If you send feedback or report a wrong globe, the report contains what you typed plus the puzzle number and the globe's date so we can find it. It goes to wherever the feedback link points; nothing is sent unless you press Send.
